The JJO library includes many jazz standards, blues, ballads, latin and township tunes, contemporary grooves, pop classics, plus some wonderful original compositions. Most of the arrangements have been done by me (Mark Bassey) but there are some great contributions from other members of the group too. All of the sheet music has been carefully prepared by me (using Sibelius). I have tried to make the parts as clear as possible but must take responsibility for any mistakes or inconsistencies.

 

The arrangements have been created to work with almost any combination of blowing instruments plus rhythm section. A number of the charts include a vocalist too. The blowing instruments are divided into four or five parts (transposed suitably for the different instruments) - choose a part that suits you! Some of the arrangements require melody parts to be played alongside the harmony parts. In other arrangements the melody and harmony parts are all combined.
